This is taken inside the door, behind the handle.

looks like the interior light switch wires.
when you lift the handle the light is supposed to come on for 12 seconds.

Ahh, ok.

The reason i ask is because it kinda catches when you pull the handle, as if its in the way. Doesn't look like anything is bent though as its on a fairly chunky piece of bracket. When i took the door panel off today it looked like it was the first time ot had ever been off, So i'm a bit stumped. The door handle works fine, just that it feels and sounds like its made in GB, if you know what i mean.

if you have this

clipped round your door lock barrel then you have heated door lock, if you don`t have it then that means you have interior light delay instead

I guess that beats using one of those crappy little door lock heaters that has always run out of battery cause you cant stop playing with it and they are usually lost or inside the car somewhere, you know what i mean :)

i've never had a frozen door lock, has anyone? i suppose it does happen.

Yeah, all the time in the winter when I was working nights. Its a real PITA leaving work at 7am, just wanting to go to bed and not being able to get in the car :x
