I'd say that was a bit overpriced...
160K+ 525 auto saloon with cloth comfort interior and only aircon as a discernible option (that probably doesn't work anyway) ...a max of £750, I'd offer...

That is worth £500 at best IMO, have a "better" look around at what else is on offer...

really i thought with having only one owner and full dealer history it would be worth more than thattomson wrote:He's on drug's.jaymos wrote:ive always liked the e34 and spotted this on the trader site, seems like a bargain, anyone know much about these, what to look out for etc. plus do you think this is worth the money? it got 160k on the clock

Hold out for one with Leather. Makes an e34 a so much nicer place to be inside. Lower miles ones will be about at that money and once bought, LOSE THE METRICS!!!!!

At the end of the day, any car is worth what you're prepared to pay for it,
I totally agree about the leather & losing the metrics though,
(Keep your eyes open, I know of a white one with leather & genuine Alpina alloys etc that may well be on the market in the New Year !!)

Metric tyres are hideously expensive, hard to find and don't grip well.jaymos wrote:whats this losing the metrics all about? plus what should i look out for when buying one?
Look for tired suspension bushes, as the E34, being a heavy 1.5 tonne barge, eats them. Also beware of sloppy steering box, and worn out windscreen wiper racks - they are a b*tch to replace!

I guess it's cheaper for BMW to fit them, being a Continental car maker, and probably they're quite readily available in Europe.
However, here they're expensive, as this thread reveals:

No way, actually i think there more.jaymos wrote:160 quid! youre messin right?Alex wrote:nice but as said overpriced, has the correct wheels too, best looking wheels imo, who cares that the tyres are £160 each
only about 2-3 companys make the metric tyres tyres.
Personally i would pay the money as i think they look much better than any other standard e34 alloy but nope i aint messing
Hence why most have the BBS alloys that i think were only avalible on the earlier cars ( i could be wrong)
