The only place I know is in Leeds, they're official 'Hardy Spicer' agents and you have to twist their arm to do it, with no guarantee of success.Andy325i wrote:Hi Simon, do you know anyone that can do it, and what sort of price?

They're the HS agents I meant Widge, they don't like doing the non-clipped UJs.Widge wrote:Dunning and Fairbank in Leeds HERE! Did a custom prop for my kit car for Ԛ£80.

They were really stumped with mine Widge, I wanted some kind of sliding arrangement in the rear to avoid loading up the box or diff with any engine movement. (E36 M3 prop, with rear CV joint and solid centre joint.)Widge wrote:Thats ugly as! But good solid looking welds - will look jolly good when painted. They were the only people I could think of so I suppose they are worth a try, I always recon that if they don't do it they will know who does!

Yes, apparently some BMWs have the circlip type joints, D&F couldn't find one to use with the E30 M3 diff.Widge wrote:What exactly is the differance between a clipped and noon clipped UJ? Presumibly it is the circlips that hold the pivots in?

E30s have a sliding joint in the middle, that doesn't lock 'shock' tight, so you don't need one.Andy325i wrote:M3Compact wrote: I wanted some kind of sliding arrangement in the rear to avoid loading up the box or diff with any engine movement.
