Spit and polish (as long as the wheels are straight).

If you can make the trek to Gillingham, Lepsons are very very decent.

Ahhh.. funny you should say that, heard the finishes better than Spit & Polish actually..
I wonder how long it will take people to notice this...

Yep, used them for my Alpina Softlines and was impressed. Touch on the expensive side though.Zizzle wrote:Ahhh.. funny you should say that, heard the finishes better than Spit & Polish actually..

Zizzle, what wheels, the Borbet's i'm guessing?
Its a bloody mission, as they aren't split rims.
When i took my contours to get refurbed with nogaro centres and a polished dish, a few peeps refused to do so.
Due to the fact that you have to refurb/polish the dish first, then do the centres.
When you do the centres, you have to mask the dish.
Due to the 200 degrees the powder coating is cooked in, it leaves the masking residue etc on the dish. So you have to do the dish again by hand.

If its split rims and you can split and seal yourself, I can get good refurbs done.
Thats powder coated centres and studs in any colour of your choice with a polished lip. £300.
If you want the splitting and sealing done, add £120.

i take it new chrome/gold bolts are extra then? the only ones with bolts you can re use and paint are the 2pc RC aka style 5's. RM's are stretch bolts and RS's need to be held with socket on both sides iirc

Oh! Yes, I'm referring to wheels such as Style 5's, where the same bolts can be re-used.Kos wrote:i take it new chrome/gold bolts are extra then? the only ones with bolts you can re use and paint are the 2pc RC aka style 5's. I don't know where to get new/gold/longer bolts and i also wouldn't bother.
If someone needs them, they can sort that themselves.

They may even do a collection service. Spit & Polish is ok, but nothing more. Whereas all the people I have asked recommended Lepsons
