Yo,

My first foray into E30's. I spent many a year driving Mk2/Mk2 golfs, and always fancied an E30, but by the time I got bored of VWs, I found myself in a lotus, and it's been several years since. Anyway, I needed a cheap winter hack, so picked up this red monster on ebay for £460! MOT till june and plenty of things to sort ;)

Really rough interior - on my list of things to sort!

And this won't be fun to sort out :( - anyone got a wiring diagram for the stereo stuffs?

My E30 and the wifey's E46.

Fun fun. :)

So, jobs so far - wiper motor (drove it home last night without any wipers.. NOT fun!) then the interior and stereo.

 Good buy for £460. Even if you run it and then break it you should get a good amount of your money back.

I sorted out wiring that looked like that, it's not as bad as it looks. You just need to find permanent positive, switched positive and negative. I'll try find my thread, I'm sure I've got it written down what colour of wire is what.

I've had a look and turns out I never went back and wrote down what colour of wire was what after I'd figured it out. From what I remember, Black was negative, brown was permanent live and red was switch positive. Use a multimeter to make sure though,
Cheers

looking at your pic i would say black is negative and red and green your two lives just test which is permenant and which is switched ,obviousley the other four paired cables are speakers ,just connect one at a time to find which speaker comes on
