Can anybody suggest a nice set of wheels for an e30??? im trying to hunt the web for decent wheels but keep coming up with alpina's and bbs's? I thought all early golf (mk1 and 2) wheels would fit e 30's and those guys have loads of different things goin on.

it's hard to find a wheel that doesn't look rubbish on the e30 I think. Or at least, you have to alter the rest of the car to suit the wheels.

14" bottletops are perfectly decent. 15" bbs the best all rounder. 16" tires can be expensive, but this is the best diameter

I'd like to try a set of 16" rotas slipstream's or j'mags, but their offsets are gay & I don't fancy spacers

IMO anything with a dish suits an E30.

Here you go, Pretty much every type of wheel ever fitted to a E30.

If you are putting aftermarket wheels on a E30 you better be getting a set with some serious DISH!!... And make sure they are staggard. 9inch out the back and 9inch in the front is just stupid.

You need to set your budget before you start to look. No point looking at RS's or Schnitzers if you have £500 cause you are looking at £1.5k upwards

If you like anything on the Image site let me know. I can get you a nice fat discount!

Agreed. :D The only reason I got rid of mine is (what I call) decent tyres are getting hard to source in 205/55x15.

So I went with 16" Hartges. Plenty of tyre choice in 205/50X16.
This is why I no longer drive an E30......

These are nice, but you will need a 5 stud conversion. I actually have a set in 17x12 rear and 17x11 fronts which i was going to use to do my next project (E36 M3 cab) and they are fat rims winkeye winkeye

Sounds interesting, always fancied some Image wheels, don't know why more people don't go for these instead of buying and then refurbing BBS splitties.

Couple of pics of my wheel choice, also got some black 15" BBS's with polished lips that look pretty good as well. There are plenty of wheels out there that do look good one E30 if you are prepared to be different.

Classic 16" Hartges

Some OZs i have, not 100% what sort they are, seen the called Turbines and Routes.
