Just got back from Abu Dhabi, just a quick jaunt with a couple of mates to see a mate on secondment out there.

We visited the Yas Marina Hotel (for a cheeky midday curry) which is in the middle of the Yas Marina F1 circuit. You will remember it was the one changine colours during the night section of the race.

On the way we saw a sign for an Art Car Exhibition. Thinking BMW art cars we diverted to find  8O  2 hand decorated Z8's!!!!!!!!!

and perhaps even worse,

Heres a couple of shots of the hotel. It's very upmarket but then out there, what do you expect?

We then proceeded to kill the hired Shogun :o:

Overall a very nice jolly boys outing!

Quite like the Aston actually.

Was this a permanent marker straight on the paint jobbie like that 3er featured in PBMW?

Looks awesome out there, would love to go.

As for the cars, it's actually nice to see something different being done. Better than them being tucked away under a carcoon in some sheikhs garage.

these belong to Sheikh Hamad bin Hamdam Al Nayan and he has a very extensive and colourfull collection, he is also known as the rainbow sheikh. He is one of the Nayan family who rule Abu Dhabi.

one of his crazier cars is a 60foot replica of a Dodge Power Wagon and a Globe shaped motorhome one millionth the size of the real Earth!!

Oh and the carcoon he keeps them tucked away under is visible in the same picture, its the size of two football fields and ariconditioned, he has it on his own island close to Abu Dhabi!

Oh yes. Any excuse to jump on a plane for some warmth.

Can't wait to get back out there. All three of us who flew out have had severe withdrawal symtoms this week! :(
