I admit that I was a bit blue-eyed, allways beliveing his excuses.

But he took 290 pounds from me and my car is still without a hood.

I have been in touch with Chaos and he assured me as well that the item was sent and that was in the postal system via the post office.

That was nearly two weeks ago and there is no track number, no detail and no reply from him with any assurances.

Its a sad state of affairs.

I know it's been a while now, actually more then a while, close to 4 years now. But this matter still pisses me off.

I came here years back trying to find a new hood for my E30 325i.

The car had been burglarized while i was at work and the hood was cut open in 4 places.

So naturally i went on a hunt for a new hood, this was back when i was new to cars and hadn't much experience with finding carparts.

A friend of mine recommended this site so i came here and found a seller.

This was the user Chaos.

Nota bene this is in 2005

Few emails and we agree on price, which was 290 GBP for the hood and the cost of sending. 240 for the hood and 50 for the sending cost.

I should have been wise to the fact that the real sending cost was about 175 pounds, and i know that for a fact because, later when i bought a hood from Quarry Motors that was what i paid.

Anyway

50 emails after i paid via money transfer, no hood and no money.

I contacted a few people here on the board and no help there, soon after this was Chaos stopped posting here and moved on.

After about half a year of bullshit i moved on also and forgot about the money.

I remember nick off a site i used to moderate called csoc which closed this year and the database is gone now so cant access it to get his full details

There are people off of csoc in his friends list if you refresh it so i know thats nick , As well as the chaos avater
Last i hear early this year he was selling a red high mileage e36 328i sport , Cant remember his ebay username though

He was on sw-cc.co.uk too met him a few times as an unofficial "official" photographer for the club there were mumblings then but he was tight with the mods and complaints disappeared rapido.

He should definitely have his reputation tarnished on every forum/website he visits. Firstly to prevent someone else getting conned and secondly to force him to realise that he's just not as clever as he thinks he is.
