I think that's a good idea mate otherwise it will be getting tax I reckon. Cr24v will be coming along nicely once the M52 lives in this biatch and mine is built.

Today I actually did something with the car. I jacked it up

Had a first proper look underneath it. Pleased to see on initial inspection none of the morsels look damaged or newly fitted suspensiom components. The gearbox mounts have been torn from the slides they sit in on the chassis.

I've started disconnecting wiring under the bonnet and got the rad and leccy fan out. I'm thinking I'll be taking the cutting disc to the front panel and then undoing the subframe and suspension top mounts and then just pulling the engine and box on the front supsension forwards off the shell.

Yeh went to drop it off friday but had one or two issue's with the throttle cable. Fixed now though so try again this week.
Did the tracking on your dads old touring alex on Thursday. It was 14mm out of track. -12 istead of +2. Mike was sh!tting himself because of understear. Sorted now though. Had it had new trackrods before mike got it cos tyres were shreaded on inside edges.

Well this M10 piece of shit obviously wants to try and remain with the shell a bit longer as Dezzy set off again tonight to deliver this to me and it had him stranded on a dual carriagway within 10 miles. Fortunately, he managed to get it towed back to his workshop.
Seems to cut out whilst driving when it has warmed up
Arrangements have now been made to tow it back on Tuesday in the daytime as I have the day booked off work.
Bless him, solid effort for the Boro hero and sorry you've been messed around with this turd so much. I personally will be taking a pish on the M10 lump when it arrives back on the driveway

I would have dragged it down the A19 at top speed on Sunday, but ended up stripping Dezzy's engine instead!

Dan loose lips sink ships mate. I thought we had a deal. This car doesn't want to leave lee. See you Tuesday pal. Just sorry i couldn't get it down the 19 on it's own steam. The police were very happy for us to toe it away as they couldn't be bothered to check why I wasn't mine it wasn't tax'd (trade plates that arnt mine) and it was blocking the A66 at rush hour ha ha. Fu*king thing.DanThe wrote:I would have dragged it down the A19 at top speed on Sunday, but ended up stripping Dezzy's engine instead!

The exhaust is yours mate, if you want the full shizzle no probs.
If it ain't pishing down then I may have the lump out sunday, still toying with whether to take the engine & box out as normal or try and be clever and do the whole front end/ suspension/ subframe/engine & box in one go.

I've helped someone do that (but with a proper ramp) and it was good fun! It's just getting it all stable without hurting yourself that's the tricky thing. (I got warned not to be too close to it - but I'm a sucker for a close up look.)E30BeemerLad wrote:The exhaust is yours mate, if you want the full shizzle no probs.

Whole job lot in one go, are you bothered about scratching it on removal or something?
Get a board on wheels to drop it on, unbolt the subframe then raise the car, front end removed previously

I haven't got anything to move that lot about with once it's on the floor. I think I may just do it the normal way as storage is going to be an issue as more & more of the touring ends up in the garage.
It's pishing with rain too and the drive is soaked, but I'm gonna have a bash I think, just maybe one more cup of coffee first
