HI,
My Track e30 325i with a rotrex c30-94 is currently producing 350 bhp,
The problem is that now the clutch is slipping, i currently have a standard sachs clutch kit fitted.
Does anybody know if i can fit a higher spec clutch kit in from a m3 or e36 or do i need to purchase a racing clutch kit.
Thanks,
Tim
P.S Will put pics up soon of car.
need new clutch!

Cool, sounds great. You were putting 350bhp through a standard sachs clutch? How long for? Been doing a little investigating a few people on other sites have mentioned that the 325iX clutch can take 350-400Nm of torque. Not seen anything to back it up though.

I just bit the bullet and bought a UUC segmented kevlar clutch kit. There is no way in hell I'll kill that. Lovely feel to it and it will take oodles of hp/torque. It's a little more on/off than standard but not intrusive in any way ~ you get used to it very, very quickly.

How much was it and how much torque can you put through it?

Around $400-450 US dollars. I bought pretty much the first one delivered to Australia and I love it!
Here's the specs:
"Features:
* 2400psi (or greater) clamping force.
* Torque capacity up to 650lb-ft (varies by application - see application guide.
* Sprung-hub center option on all applications ("retrofit" for fixed-hub models improves clutch smoothness).
* Complete elimination of problematical SAC (Self Adjusting Clutch) mechanism for applications originally fitted with SAC.
* Performance friction material fully bonded to steel disk backing plate for improved heat dissipation and durability.
* "Massive overkill" drive straps more resistant to breaking under extreme or ultra-high revving custom motors.
* Marcel spring clutch disk "wafer" for enhanced smoothness.
* Pressure plate cover manufactured by Sachs in Germany, performance diaphragm manufactured in USA.
* Genuine Sachs release bearing and alignment tool included.
* All clutches are "direct fit" and require no modifications. Normal installation procedures apply.
* SFI-certified manufacture."
They will easily cope with 500hp +.
Drop 'em an email and see if they have something to suit your application.
I've got a few UUC components on my car and I rate them very highly indeed.

Just type "E30" in the search box or look through their "Product Catalogue".
