As above, so anyone going ?

Lets hope it is wet for a change. May not be great in the pits, but will be a load of fun on track, that is if everyone can stay on the black stuff.

Cheers,

Dave

Hi Mark,

Viewing is not a problem, and is usually a good mix of cars go.

I will be there in my old E30 M3 track slag shed. Come and say hello.

Cheers Jon

This is also my last one this year, as I`m pulling the engine after this one. I have a few mods to do which should free up a few more horses and will also do the clutch at the same time, in prep of next year.

Hopefully you can make it, but weather forecast is not that great .

Cheers

I'll be coming up. 3 of my customers will be there with an Audi RS4 Avant, a Porsche Cayman S Sport and a brand new Audi R8 V10. They've invited me along, so I'll be bringing a couple of mates and we'll be taking pictures. Come and say hello, we'll try to get some shots of your cars too. I'll be wearing either a red fleece with 'Shine On' on it, or a grey coat with the same.

Hi Winx,

Sorry you can`t make it. In the wet the car is even more fun, and should hold its own against some other more powerfull cars , R8 wink wink. winkeye

Hopefully this one is quicker than the last one we played with. :D

Jokes aside, looking forward to a relaxing day from work.

cheers,

The three guys I've been invited by are loons! I don't know the chap with the R8, he has only just bought it and I detailed it on Friday with just 60 miles on the clock. There will be a blue RS4 Avant (its the one on my website), which is a bit tasty, and running 500bhp now.

It'll be nice to meet another Zoner.

Jon,

Why not ?

If it is going to bang, better whilst under warrenty.

My engine was running up to 8500 on the rollers getting run in. Obviously it was progressive as the mapping was being done.

Should be fun. A nice tight R8 ripe for the taking.

Where`s a video camera.

Bloke will probably lap me in 3 laps.

Cheers,

Sadly, the three have just sacked it off. The guys in the RS4 and Cayman have work commitments, and the chap with the R8 said he was waivering anyway because it's not moved since I detailed it last Friday, so it still has a grand total of 59 miles on the clock! Personally, knowing it'll be sold on within 2 years, I'd have taken it and ragged it to death. No doubt it would have been just fine.

So, in light of this, I won't be there either. Instead, I'll be at my unit relieving the donor 535i of it's heart, ready for my Touring. So it's not a wasted day 8)

when the R8 first came out I ran a trackday for one of our customers who brought one along with his F1s, I seem to remember him being very strict about how high we revved it due to a letter from Audi saying that all warranty is void if taken beyond something like 3/4 revs in the first 800 miles...

Hi JON,

Was a good day out, Wet in the morning and dry in the afternoon so had the best of both.

Car went well and with the wets on left everything behind, but if you were on anything else except wets then you disadvantaged to start with.

Took some mates out who had come along in their 2002`s and came back in grinning from ear to ear. Driving standard and marshalling was excellent, as usually is so will deffo be back again.

Engine is being strpped for a refresh the moment it stopps raining so I can get it out, and will give it a little power upgrade whilst its out. Have some cams to but in that will hopefully take it closer to the 300BHP but will have to see.

Cheers,

Dave
