we came up with two possible dates,( sat 10th oct or sat 17th oct)

please put your preference of dates

price
under 5 £35 each
5 cars = £30 each
10 cars £25 each

they have plenty of parking, i'll start the list as i'm going anyway

I went to this one on the 10th of October, I've had a new manifold and exhaust fitted and am going for a re-run. Stick your name down if you'd like to come along. Drive up to the look out place after, for cafe/van food and drink and car talk!!

It's a 2wd dyno, plenty of parking and lots of mazda rotary engines lying around in pieces to gawp at.

The name, number and post code are Jeff or Geoff Rance, 02392 698100, Unit 8, PO3 5RY.

Well no pics today as I was busy fiddling with the car.

I had mixed results today, I saw good gains around 3000-4000 rpm, and really quite importantly to me, no losses below this.

However it turns out that the BTB 6 branch is not a bolt on mod, it's made such a difference to the engine's flow above 4000rpm, that it's messed up my fuelling and really in truth requires a custom chip/map to get the fuelling back to the correct levels.

I did see a 10bhp gain up to 179bhp after removing my catflap backfire protection device, but this was not a direct comparison to previous results.

An interesting side note is that another car today made a lot less than it had made previously elsewhere, at a reputable place, on a similar dyno.

Yup, mine made less. With the intake temp correction it made near enough the same power as it should. It also made more torque than before and a hell of alot more with the temp correction. Need to get a cold air feed to the throttles.
I'll try post the charts up tomorrow

I went down because my brother wanted get his 335i dynoed after he had it chipped/remapped a few weeks ago. It made 358bhp and over 420ftlb
Just a good excuse to take mine out on a nice day  Thoroughly enjoyed it.

It was a shame that the btb made no obvious difference. :(

That's not quite true, it's totally messed up my fuelling! LOL.

Seriously though, I'm struggling to see the funny side.

^ Once the fuelling is sorted you should see some gains. It does go to show that people can not buy a btb expecting a 10+bhp improvement, which many people would expect going on previous info on the zone.

It does sound and look absolutely awesome though

Here's my chart if anyone's interested

Left side is bhp, right is torque ftlb. Higher lines are with the intake temp correction and the other is without

Thanks Dave! As the car is leaning off more and more above 4750rpm I should see some significant power gains at the top end.

I was naively expecting to be able to bolt on the exhaust and see power, but I guess it should have beeen obvious that it would make such a big difference and need adjusting to suit.

I was a bit disappointed as the car sounds at least 25bhp faster!
