Difference Between Tech II Seats

I noticed that some Tech II sport seats have horizontal stitching on seating part and other vertical. What's the catch? By construction they look same to me. Is it year of production, material or something other?

Yep got it in one, its considered a bit of a sin to put cabby front seats in a coupe or 4 door as the back seats won't match although they will fit and are essentially the same

M3 has horizontal stitching as well.
