Needed a daily driver so i bought a V8..!!! I know I know, but its better than my sport in terms of MPG believe it or not......Its a 535i Auto, M Sport with comms pack, electric memory seats n all the other fancy bits....
I LOVE THIS CAR........

Thats a stunning looking motor
I'd love an E39 in Sport spec - anything from a 528i Upwards would do
Unfortunately I can't really get one because the dog would kill the back seats and I'm not a big fan of the E39 Tourings.

e30topless said : Proper BMW's have 4 headlights, last of the run was the E30 and E34/E32 anything after that is just complete shite

I hate the Sat Nav in it, always hated the BMW ones but i got my slimline DVD player goin in on sunday
Was originally lookin for a 530d but my mate had to replace his turbo a couple of weeks ago & its not cheap..!!! I didnt want the 530i and the 540i engine i've been told is not the most reliable but i thought the 535i was the one & i dont regret it one bit - so smooth & refined..!!
Alot of car for the money...

Congrats, really nice car.
Always had a desire for a 540i touring (either E34 or E39), just love the understated uberperformance of it.

Even a 540i is better than an E30! We got about 28mpg out of a manual 540i touring over six months....
E30 Touring 0.35 cD - more slippery than prison soap

Praise the Lard... and pass the dripping!

Perfect combination of wheels and colour. Looks

. The e39s really are one of the best looking cars BMW ever made (aside from the e30 of course

).

The 540i and 535i engine are the same M62 engine so have the same reliability issues.

Very nice motor there and yes - the V8's are slightly better on MPG than a 325 (I've had an E34 V8 & E32 V8 3 litre M60's)
Currently on the look out for an E34 540

Previously owned loads of old E30s, E34s, a few E36s, E32s, E39s and an E38.
Currently in a diesel Audi - miss me old E30's....
