Very interesting.
I dragged this one out of its two year slumber on Friday.

Another 88F Motorsport Auto - no AC or heated seats, but a slightly scruffy arch. Hauled it up the road, stuck a s/h battery in it on Saturday morning, straight through its MoT and taxed by lunchtime. Treated to a new Bosch battery in the afternoon as a celebration.
A brief de-council followed and I'm more than happy with it. It could do with a wing and the hood's OK, but could be better. I'm not enthused by the Scorpion DTM exhaust either, but overall it's a decent thing. I think I'll keep it. I was amazed at how good it was and at how well I had done to get it for what I paid - until I read this thread.

Really? Where was it advertised? I sold the chap a few bits and pieces over the summer, I bought his 320i cab from him in July too and he phoned me offering me this just a week or two ago. Was it advertised?aze30 wrote:i was looking at this cabby myself .......

yeah it was advertised somewhere, i cant remember where i seen it now, it was a few days back...i remember it because of the distinctive multispoke wheels and the colour with the dtm exhaust
ill have a look to see where it was advertised but most likely it gonna be removed as you have bought it

Did you just ring your local dealer to find out about the service history?
Good to have the official confirmation that its a genuine Motorsport innit, result on the history too. Plenty of time to get it all sorted for the Spring. Did you get the rear seat then?
Good to see another early one still around Cecotto - thats 3 of the reported 50 early ones built then. Is yours dechromed?
My little tale of woe - I broke the golden Winter rule. A mate and his BMW mad 3 year old came round at the weekend. Put the roof down to take him for a little spin round the block and..................crack........ 2 inch split in rear window!
Bit past its best anyway so it could have been worse. Got a couple of relatively minor marks on the (original) hood so do I just bit the bullet and change the complete roof? Intending this to be keeper so might be worth it.
