Imy try the bmwowner.com forum they have a dedicated 5 series section and many on there know their stuff.

Bingo, Don't always expect the members on here to know everything. I wouldn't sign up to a 5 series forum and expect a quick reply on e30 bits.

It seems to me that it's not the whole world against Imy, just one person in this instance.

I didn't think Imy was being hostile, but i can see how he might be slightly frustrated. He asked a simple question, and lets face it, there are loads of zoners who'd know the answer. This is the first place i'd go for car help, even if i was asking about a French turd, cos there are loads of experienced mechanics on here.

I think any hostility came from elsewhere...without any provocation.

It was merely pointing out that funny enough, an e30 forum specialises in e30's.. A 5 series forum 5 series.. Where is the hostility?!

Just to clear this up, there was no hostility from me either, i was just merely asking a couple of questions.

I did get an answer and funnily enough, it was from a member on here

Oh and Jhonno, if this forum only specialises in E30's, then maybe there shouldn't be an 'Other BMW Section'
