Im sorry but i could do better under water.
when welding it makes enough light to do it in pitch black .
Even so if you look in the day and see its not too nice then remove the weld and redo it

Decided to replace the rather tatty under bonnet sound insulation as it was letting the engine bay down along with the m42 i suppose :D

Before

During

After, Also T-cutted the metal bits around the insulation.

Also removed the Exhaust and fitted a new standard one with new fitting kit from bmw, Also after removing the exhaust i decided to power wash underneith it, used a snow foam type tool on the end of the power washer then jet washed it all, came up really well.

although the exhaust needs twisting anti clockwise a little i think.

Got a few other bits comming from germany this week too 8)

tech 1 has been off agggeeeess ollie

sadly clear indicators, IS interior is going back in when i get time, got an Original Bmw Bavaria Reverse RDS comming from germany (actually an early e36 item but seen them fitted to late 93/94 tourings)

Image

and a new bit of rear carpet, along with a new washer bottle strainer, distobution piece and hose, hopefully it will make them work, this is the time of year you need them

also going to order some original Replica dealer plates when i get round to it.

Will soon be looking for a m20b25 to drop in in 2 years time, will under go a full rebuild

 This will be an awesome car with a 6 cylinder. Did you manage to get a good insurance quote then?

And  Would you know why when my aerial goes up and down it crackles like when you tune a radio? It is so loud you almost have to put your fingers in your ears!

i have a very faint crackle on the front left speaker when it goes up, commes out of the tweeter, i think its due to the poitive feed going next to the crossover/ speaker wires for the speaker.

Insurance is a No no untill i'am 21, cheapest i could get with a 6 pot @ 19 was 3k with adrian flux

So i'am going to rebuild one over 24 month to spread costs about, if i can afford it as much as i can get is going to be brand new parts.

allready got someone who will drop the engine in for me, hope he still wont mind in 2 years time :P

i would like a 24v engine but i'am mad about keeping a original so with a 325i badge and the nessisary bits and bobs it will just look like an unmolesterd 325i. Plus its an easier swop :)
