yes i have before with no probs,
think you only get interference probs when you run them along side the speaker wires
or from poor earthing, mine was fine anyway and that was in a tech 1

Ideally you should keep the power cable from the battery away from the other leads to avoid any potential interference. I've run them down separate sides of my car.
The last thing you want to do is have to unbolt everything again once you've put it all back together. RCA leads and amp remote power lead are fine together.

If you dig deep and peel the black sticky stuff that covers in inner side of the sill you will find the recess where BMW run all the OE wireing makes for a much neater job when done this way instead of just stuffing the wires behind the carpet

your speaker wire/rca's should be kept away from all your power wires inculding the remote and especially the power wire what you jsut said is the wrong way to do it.maf260 wrote:Ideally you should keep the power cable from the battery away from the other leads to avoid any potential interference. You wont always get interference even if you do bunch them all together but its best to keep speaker wire and RCA's as far away from any power related wires as possible not put them together like this guy said

Bollocks I say
If you have a decent enough set of RCA's you can bundle them all together . have done it many many times, use a reliable brand of RCA, something sheilded and you won't have issues, the old myth was when cars did not run the resistors in the spark plugs and this used to cause interferance.

Why don't you read this properly and check your facts before posting nonsense and stupid icons? Remote wires are absolutely fine to run with RCAs, to the point that there are a number of cable manufacturers who produce RCA leads with a third cable in between to use for the remote switch. I clearly said to run the power cable completely separately from everything else, so have not advised the wrong way to do it.pac1982 wrote:your speaker wire/rca's should be kept away from all your power wires inculding the remote and especially the power wire what you jsut said is the wrong way to do it.maf260 wrote:Ideally you should keep the power cable from the battery away from the other leads to avoid any potential interference. Sorry guys , but having worked in car audio a number of years, I can tell you the 3rd wire is not actually for remote , it is a drain wire, used to be used by companies to have a common ground between all the elements in a system.
This was used to reduce the engine noise which would come throught the speakers.
