broken cam belt

got a 316 the cam belt has broken,would the valves hit the pistons or would it just need the belt replacing

just replace the engine for a m20b25. its probably done most of the valves to be honest

Whip the rocker cover off and see if you have any broken cam followers. If not then id say you got bent valves.
