What rotary car polisher should I buy of ebay????

What is the best reasonably priced one to buy? Don't want to buy a heap, experienced opinions please!

out of that lot i would go for the silverline [orange machine] it,s cheap and cheerful but does the job
i had one for years, well still got in in the cupboards for a spare and giving lessons with,
not as refined or as light as my newer machine but does the job just as well.

Dimebag, apologys for the spam, but i bought a polisher from a well known
German supermarket chain, now i ,m a bit dubious as far as polishing a car
with it, but it may well do as a sander. My touring bonnet has some very deep
scratches on it, so what would be the best kind of pad to try
and remove them with, or even to sand it down prior
to Matt blacking it.

have you got a rotary or da.
if the scratches are that deep machine polishing alone will not remove them.

If you've never owned a rotary polisher, you're heading for disaster if you think you can pilosh out deep scratches with one. Its so easy to polish through the topcoat, especially on corners and ridges. At best, aim just to get a deeper shine at first, rather than remove blemishes, and see if you can practice on another car/panel before you try on your E30 too. You can never get enough practice!

It is to remove swirl marks from my sri cav

I have plenty of scrap lying around to practice on.

Think my post may have been slightly misunderstood.
The scratches imn my bonnet will are not removable by any amount of polishing.
What i was trying to say is, can i use my cheap orbital polisher to sand the bonnet right down, and what would be the best kind of pad to use, if so.

If your able to catch your finger nail in the scratch doesn't matter how much you sand. Repaint will be needed.

Of those i would go with this one, this is the one i have, i have invested n better pads though, just make sure you practice on scrap first.
