Off to take a look at this tomorrow - just what I have been looking for.
Girl thinks this is freaky as a replacement for her very lame '96 Corolla.
Would look great in the garage next to sig pic winkeye
They aren't the same at all - one has four doors and a bigger engine, and different wheels and leather seats, and .... not convincing her

See my sig photo!
For six months we ran laches 4 door and laches touring....
Sadly the 4 door is on it's way to China to be made into cheap Tesco toasters, but I have a neon green cabbie almost built!
Temporary replacement for the wife is a '85 Toyota Starlet, like driving a roller skate.

Just as well the ad is only costing $25, he can afford to wait!

I got an 89 auto back in June for somewhat less.

It was rough as guts tho.

I tried to get my wife into an e30 BMW when her mitzi became troublesome and she wasn't having it either.

Shes in a Corolla now, where she belongs.

Which, in Australia, is not a bad price at all for a tidy 325i.

The owner has already reduced the price to $8K since the ad was posted so might knock it down a little more.
Just depends exactly how tidy it is - concerned that it is a "Chinese MotorSport Model". Report back tonight, time permitting

Please do, mate.

The kms are pretty bloody low on it ~ an easy 60-100 thousand less than you usually see nowadays ~ so I'd hope that the car is in relatively good nick. $8K sounds better than $9K, doesn't it? Could be a good buy.

The way I got my girlfriend out of her car was to occasionally unplug something so it would run real rough or sometimes so it wouldnt run at all.... This ofcourse led her to believe her trusted little Suzuki Cino was about to go bang... Might of even left her stranded at night all alone and frightened of the dark...... A few months of this is all it took before she saw the light and sold the little bomb.....

BTW its still running stong today as I see it very almost once a week lol :P winkeye

Before you knew it she was in the car I was going to sell anyway but didnt want to stuff around selling it.. It worked so well I almost cant stand my own genius.

Sports go for anywhere between 5-6 thousand pounds and 10-11 thousand pounds in Australia (depending on condition and what the owner feels like asking). Pity us!

It's actually more like 4K in your money. The Sport model never came to Australia.
It is hard to compare prices straight up as many other factors (wages, cost of living, price of new cars, availability of this spec etc) have an influence.
Remember that E30s are a luxury car here and sales numbers were a minute fraction of UK / Euro market.
It's a whole different ball game.
That said...
This car is over priced UNLESS it is mint. In which case it is a fair price wherever you are.
All will be revealed tomorrow when i take a look at it

The missus likes my E30 much more than her Corolla, I just won't let her take it to work and leave it outside amongst the sun, bird shit and other dodgey drivers.
Maybe I should just have two bronzit E30s for myself winkeye

Took a look at this one today and the guy has a hold of himself - worth $3K max.
It has certainly had some hard use for it's low kms or has had the clock altered.
It actually has some quite bad rust spots which is pretty unheard of for E30s here.
Other faults: massive holes in comfort leather, assorted scratches and dents, leather falling off tech 1 wheel, cracked dash, hole in carpet....etc, etc
Beginning to think I will never find another E30 - a 325 upgrade for my chromie is looking a better and better option.

We did get the 325iS. Pretty much the same spec as the Euro "Sport". I've seen them go for up to $20K.

Bad luck on the 325i. It is indeed getting harder and harder to find a good one now. Most die off through neglect, a few get turned into race cars, and the rest get bodged with ricer crap. Pity.

Ok, so not the super hot SAf version I remember reading about.
There is a fantastic lachs one near where I live - 16" alpinas, black leather, fully loaded. I have to stop for a drool when I drive past for work :D
or buy her a broom....
I do everything it takes to keep her happy as she is fully supportive of my car tinkering, occasionally helps and doesn't complain and the $$$ is spend. Def a keeper

Ah, no, not the SA version. They were very special. 2.7 litre jobbies with, in the end, some aluminium panels if I remember aright. I wouldn't knock one back.

That's not so bad then. I had visions of you insisting she drove an e30 when she really wants an mx-5...

That kinda thing you can only get away with for so long. :D
