I might get the oportunity to buy one of these rare items.

Looks just like the one in this car...

As they don't come up very often does anyone know what they are worth? Don't want to pay over the odds for what is essentially just a footrest...

Cheers

They used to cost a fortune when I checked years ago - about 15 years ago they were £80 or something, if I remember correctly. I think they were also a left hand drive specific part.

Sorry a vague answer...

So what is difference between a lhd and rhd footwell? Sure I've seen them fitted in a e21 alpina rhd?!?!

Or is just a case that they are very rare in rhd like the digital heater vent gauge, which are rarely seen over here so also deemed lhd specific.

Basically I just want to know if the dead pedal will fit rhd?

It wont fit because it will have a lip to go round the edge as it's not a flat bit of meatle.

In LHD it would mount to the kick panel, in RHD it would mount to the transmission tunnel so would require a different design as the shape is different. What to do? Modification of a LHD footrest? Build your own?

Foot rest is LHD specific but the vent gauge is not although it is rare on RHD cars.

Want the part numbers?

don't think it will luke, but buy it and give it a try
that way I will know for definate whether to look for one or not

surely it wouldn't be difficult for a decent machine shop to replicate one ?
