Hi,
How can I avoid any cracking of the cab roof rear screen in cold weather, especially if i'm putting the top down? I've heard a bit of heater can be good but would like to use a product in addition.

The rear window demister is a heater but the roof should not be put down if its been out on a frosty night ..that is why BMW provided a cover for it...if you haven't got one buy one or make something similar to keep the cold off

there is no product that will stop the rear screen from spliitting in low temp.

Either see if you can find the original frost protector cover or just put on the rear heater for about 10 mins and it should be ok.
I use the cover but also put on the heater to make sure

The biggest tip is, If it feels too cold to put the roof down? DON'T. Not before warming the screen for at least 15mins with the warm air blower provided.
Even using the screen frost protector / cover, the screen will still be fragile in ultra cold conditions.
