Guys just a quick thread to see if you are interested in coming to a morning at Janspeed in Salisbury.

What: Factory Tour and Dyno Day

Where: Janspeed Salisbury sp1 3rx

When: Saturday 14th November

Time: 9am till 12.30

Cost:

Factory Tour ”“ Free
Dyno - £25 for Prebooked 2WD cars, £30 if paid on the day
£30 for Prebooked 4WD cars, £35 if paid on the day

Why: Basically I have started working at Janspeed and have discovered the huge engineering capabilities that they have on site. It is a truly interesting place and suits any petrol head! They are renowned for performance exhausts but they do so much more.

I am intending on running the factory tour at the end of the Dyno runs, but I will possibly do it twice (10.30 and 12.30) depending on numbers that attend. Zoners are welcome to use the car park to meet up and have a chat and jump in on the factory tour if they want. If you want to go on the Dyno, send me a PM or call me on 01722 321833 (Janspeed).

There is no pressure to go on the Dyno, but it is pretty cheap. You can just watch other cars going on the dyno if you want. Here is the current list:

1. Jon_Bmw (Pug 205 or 540i) - BOOKED
2. DarkMatter (TVR Griffith) - BOOKED
3. Steve-V8S (TVR Griffith) - BOOKED
4. Leon Britton (VXR8) - BOOKED
5. Stefan SRT8 (300C) - BOOKED
6. V8LCJ (TVR Tuscan) - BOOKED

7. Spdpug98 (MNR Vortx+ R1) - 14th Nov (Expecting 150bhp(ish) at crank should be 180bhp(ish))
8. W4X LG (Golf VR6) - 7th or 14th (Book says 175bhp?)
9. Crackle (Viper RT/10 - Hennessey Venom 550 - supercharged !)
10. V8LCJ (TVR Tuscan or Jaguars S-TYPE R)
11. Spydaman (Spyder)
12. mrfunex (st220)
13. Juddy (Megane R26)
14. Tankslider (911 or m5)

Being an early morning you can then take ”˜wifey’ to the *wonderful shops in sunny Salisbury* in the afternoon.

*I might have lied about that last bit. Salisbury is good for coffee shops and old people. :S

Need to get under the turd to see exactly what I need. Also do you do anything for the E39 M5? Andy has cash burning a hole!

Sadly they don't list anything for the e39 m5. I presume as it is stainless from the factory it would have been wasted R&D for minimal gain. They do custom work obviously, but for a twin system that the v8 requires, it would be fairly expensive I suspect. I think in this scenario, one someone has 'on the shelf' would be your best bet. :(

I'm led to believe the standard exhaust is pretty good, just over silenced! Shame.

BTTT.

This Saturday chaps. There is shelter from the rain if needed which is 30 yards behind the dyno, so perfect for viewing without being deafened!

9 cars PRE booked to go on the dyno with a few tasty/loud cars running. Should be a good day, pop up if you want. :thumb:

Those are just dyno hooligans. Booked people have paid the £25 in advance, the others are hopefully going to turn up on the day. But me and you both know there is usually a high attrition rate! 8O If you wanna run, put your name down. :)

Shame Henry. Good luck with the house viewing.

Kos'waldo i'm sure we could sort something out, as I said to a few other zoners by PM who can't attend this time I am thinking of perhaps a BMW day in March time (ideal time for far-away-zoners). Get a few different clubs down for a fight. :)

We can get cars up on ramps and find out which model is the rustiest. winkeye

Jon I would love to come to one if your doing one next year mate as I need a little time to plan stuff. I'm doing 2 meets this month already so I just can't physically manage any more.

O/T Would your company be able to make a copy of my Alpina front pipe out of stainless at all and how much would a one off like this cost me mate?

Despite the weathers best attempts are fecking it up, I think it went quite well.

Seems that Andy(workshop manager) confirmed what you suspected about the alpina 6 branches.

They have all the equipment to make any, or replicate any exhaust system, but the one off nature of requests come with their inherrent higher costs.
