Hi, i bought these borbet A's (7" front 9" rear) and the came with daft stretched tires on them. I now need to change them but the stretch 215 tires rubbed the arch already (when car loaded heavy) so anything wider than 215 will rub more. has anyone had this same problem? is there any way around it other than rolling the arches or maybe swapping my 9inchers for 7s? car has 30 possibly 40mm drop on rear

cheers,

Terry

Only way is to rolling or flaring the arches i'm afraid if you want no rubbing issues with the 9's on the rear.

I have the same problem when the touring is heavy load but that aint very often so i put up with it.

Fitting 7's on the rear is your only option if you dont want to mod the rear arches and cant put up with the rubbing.

As above, flare/roll the arches or get some 7J for the rear

It depends on the offset of the 9''. If the rim has an offset of 10 to 15, then it will fit under the fender with a 215 tire and flanging the angle.

Thanks for the help guys. I should be meeting with baz666 today to do the trade. Stretch tires are no good for me. The roads around here are sh**e so i need the extra rubber. I also need the extra height so my middle box doesn't scrape so much. I need the bumper strip on proper size tires to protect the rim so i dont scratch them on everything. If i raised the car to normal height i dont think it would look as good and i cant be bothered rolling the arches because ones got filler in it. Big 9''s look bad ass on the rear though! I will be sad to see them go :(
