when is an m5 not an m5

parked behind a 54 reg 5 series today, on the left hand side of the bootlid it said m5 and on the right side it said 530d lol, why the hell would someone do that :?

Yeah sometimes its hard to tell as all the sports look like M5s

To cause confusion? i remmber seeing a puegot 306 with an M3 badge on the boot.

There's reports of someone being pulled by the police in an E39 M5 fitted with 518i badges.

If you had a E34 M5 and you took off the M badges, you wou;d never know it is an M5. Has to have turbines to pull it off.

ye but this 5 series had the small 5 spoke alloys on it plus had the 530d badge still on it which was a bit of a giveaway that it wasnt an m5

I followed an E34 a few weeks ago that had a pea-shooter exhaust and an Alpina boot badge.
These people probably dont know what the badges mean,they must just think they look nice... :mad:

An M5 cop car badged as a 518i is just sneaky! :evil:

For a enthusiastic ,, dead easy. the dials,, centerconsole,, frontbrakes the front spoiler,, bootlid


But outside for an average guy
