Gents when driving in a fashion that can only be described as 'spirited' the m20 seems to hesitate then clear and continue to pick up like normal. Although, maybe just me but have noticed that the old girl does seem a little down on power?!! Any thoughts?

slight hesitation under load...

Do a quick tune up check.
look at the plugs, leads, cap and rotor for wear.
measure the leads to be close to 5600ohms. Higher will mean less voltage get´s to the plugs.
Measure the gaps on the plugs.
Look for vacuum leaks.
