Well it did fit and there was tons of space behind the console and it all works sweet.
Picked the screen up of Indy from the zone this morning at about 11am this morning and just finished it heres the pics..........

The flip-out screen catches on the stalk doesn't it?
Why not swap the units

Yeah it does catch on the stalk but I don't really want the screen at the bottom else you'll have to look down to see it, I'll look in to the lhd panel though
cheers for the comments!
I have to say I was surprised at how much space was behind there considering what everyone was telling me in my last post I reckon I could fit a graphic eq down there as well if I really wanted to

Cheers matey nice doing business with you!

The alpinecda7876rb is a really good head unit and is much more powerfull than the screen for example the screen only has one pre out my old headunit has 3, 4 volt preouts allowing me to run loads of stuff off the unit.
It also gives much more control over the treble and bass that you get with just the screen
plus it looks trick lol

The screens motorized and when it's in looks no bigger than a normal headunit besides you could slip your hand behind the screen to do it if u really needed to anyhow

From the factory that space was sometimes filled up with a small amp as part of the premium sound system package i believe. Could be wrong though.

i paid £40 for an e46 short weighted shifter.
the normal leather ones come with a badge choice.
try your dealer and see how much they are, there are quite a few options
