Anyone know a competetive place I can get some.
Brake hoses need replacing for the MOT so it's a good excuse to upgrade unless anyone has any bad experiences of them.

Try here - I drove one with them on and it felt much better to me - but there was a discussion recently which seemed to say they made things worse...

a local company was gonna make some for me. just needs some patterns. if you can get 1 front, 1 rear and a clutch slave cylinder pipe i can let him have them and see what comes back. i've no doubt they will be top notch. i used black diamond on my sri130 and they were spot on. well worth doing. we could even sell them on the zone. would be cheaper than everywhere i reckon as only paying cost!

Nice idea mate, I don't mind lending mine to copy if they come back in one piece. How much would he charge for them do you think?reardiffraver wrote:a local company was gonna make some for me. just needs some patterns. if you can get 1 front, 1 rear and a clutch slave cylinder pipe i can let him have them and see what comes back. i've no doubt they will be top notch. i used black diamond on my sri130 and they were spot on. well worth doing. we could even sell them on the zone. would be cheaper than everywhere i reckon as only paying cost!

Got mine from here http://www.proven-products.co.uk/
Fairly cheap (£59 inc for the 6 line ABS kit, RRP is £77+!) but I think someone on here got them slightly cheaper from somewhere else after I got mine

Si - I drove Timrays white sport with them on, and obviously I was not driving one day to day then, but I had test driven about 12 at that point. The brakes on his were sooo much better it was untrue, much better feel and no sponginess at all...but I think it was Demlot who was saying he did not rate them to which I was surprised...
Mark.
Put some on mine to get through my MOT and didn't really notice that much difference, but i do still need the two at the very back as i only got a 4 piece kit, stupid idiots at Demon Tweeks telling me i didn't need 6, so that could make a difference.

I was looking into this as-well, the only 'bad thing' I could find about using braided hoses was they don't last as long as rubber ones. I think the recommended replacement time given was 18months for normal use cars... might be BS though.

I got mine from POTN afew weeks ago. Although fairly competativly priced the delivery times were appauling, nearly 3 months!.
A company called "Need For Speed" offer the kits with a choice of anodised or stainless ends too, but are abit more expensive.
And Goodridge are guaranteed forever, or at least thats what it says on the box!

Thats what I would have thought, I can't remember where I read it though. Hell if they have a lifetime warranty, go with it anyway. If they break, get a new set free:)E30Adam wrote:They should last a lot longer, they're stainless aren't they?Jos wrote:1st post \o/
