hi ive just bought some leather interior for my 316i
its like a cream with black piping! i got told it was 1
of only 50 as is the lotus white leather in the calypso red
ones

can anyone vouch that this is true?
and also is that just in the uk?

No, you've got a retrimmed interior.

Lotus leather didn't come with piping.

You might want to read it again Adam...only a bit slower this time :)

If I read it correctly, he was told it was one of 50, in the same way that only 50 Lotus White leather sets were fitted to the Calypso Red ones.

I know I read it right the first time, perhaps my post was a little unclear.

There's no cream leather with black piping listed as an interior so I said that he's got a retrimmed interior.

I then added that the lotus white leather doesn't have piping, it's stitched.

The possible way (i can think of) that it's genuine is if it's from an Individual specced car, but unless you know the original car and have the VIN you could never prove that.

Does sound like you've been spun a line mate. But as long as it was cheap/in good nick. Job's a good 'un! :cool:

The rear seat usually has a label on the underside of it with the chassis number of the original car. will also have the original trim number on there.

The same label can also be found on the inside of the front seat backs....
