I'm with BSS. I understand the price is high but the figures speak for themselves IMO. The OEM manifold is to an extent a weak point on any right hand drive E30 and when you consider the gains and the level of craftmanship the price starts to make alot of sense.

I've had a stainless exhaust on my 325, 2 in fact and switched back to OEM due to both being boomy and deathening. But the car actually felt faster with the standard rear box on and cough Wolfrace :o: straight through centre box. The moral of the story is I wish I hadn't bothered with the other exhausts and gone to BTB in the first place.

Hopefully my BTB will be deliverd tomorrow and I cant wait to get it on and see how it goes.

Do you have before and after printouts? It'd be interesing to see how the curves behave across the rev range.. being able to reach max bhp is just as important..

Here is my before and after layed over the top of each other.

Torque and bhp.

As you can see, big bhp gains from the mid range all the way to the limiter and a big jump in peak torque right in the mid range,

Image

I've had my car dyno'ed on 4 different dynos before fitting the BTB2 and it consistenly gave 171bhp/172lbft.

I've had it dyno'ed on two different dyno's (on the same day!)since fitting and the was a 3bhp/3lbft difference but i put that down to the size of fan in front of the car when dyno'ed.

Remember, NO other mods bar the scorpion/sebring which will make little difference to a standard centre and rear.

When BTB developed the BTB2 back in 2006 there was a white 325i sport which was featured in TBMW mag (which i still have) and the had a gain of 18bhp (from 167 to 185 bhp) and that used a full BTB2 manifold and system.

A zoner bought it off the guy who had it featured and we exchanged pm's about the mag feature.

Here's a couple of pages from it.

that's a nice readout.. a few wobbles low down but a big improvement, you just need a remap now, unless you already have?

good article..

'there's something massively satisfying about hustling the old barge around on that tiller and those anchors'

I've been looking for that wording ever since I bought my 325 8)

Cliffy this looks spot on,

Once you've finished the above will you consider the bay 'done' or will it always be an ongoing things to add type project?

Hope that wrist heals up soon :o

Ive got 2 bits being built at present to add under the bay, but once they have been added and the walls repainted under the hood will be done

My wrist looks better today, the worst thing is each link had burnt the skin and i have about 5 blisters in link shapes
