or is there any zoners that would do one cheap? would like ago myself but would like views from people who have done the conversions as to what is more expensive and easyer to do as i would love to have the torque that the m50 lacks over the m30!

That's a good idea.. We should have an Engine Swaps section, oh and a search function also...! It'd also be a great idea if we stickied a thread with loads of info in it..SHAKEELE30 wrote:Or why dont we have a specific section for these conversions now, seems like alot of people want to do it now...

Swap section would be a great idea. Maybe sub forums for the different types of swaps too? Might help sort it all out.

Sub-forums for engine swaps (or tech help on engine swap cars) would be good, ala R3V, would make for easier searching and keep the worthwhile threads within reach

they are the dreamers

I know what you were getting at
My point is that some of these "peasants" may be far from peasants but would rather spend their money on something more "worthwhile". Just pointing out a different POV. Not my own mind you....

if what you are trying to say is that people buy e30's and they want to do some upgrades then realise it will be expensive and not cost effective and chose not to do it even though they have the cash, well that still makes them dreamers for thinking they can do it in the 1st place on the cheap

I see the sub-forums are there now, but will it stop all of the daily "which is the best conversion?" threads...?

i personally think it would be great if some one who knew what they were talking about and had sone the conversion made a thread or a guide on one page with no replys available just an info thread and then silly people like me who are always asking questions etc (sorry!) could look at this and know everything there is on the topic be it m60 or m30 or m50. a conversion from start to finish with no replys and not like a 100 pages as the reason these topics keep coming up is people are very lazy and want fast info (me unfortunatly am too guilty of this!) if the fast easy to read on one page info was there there would be far less posts imo. i also think the new engine sections are great! all they need now is a stickey on easch one with the above info.

thats great but still could do with the same thing for the m50 and sr20det etc would be great to have that in a nice easy read format and would stop most of the related posts.

There are so many ways, it is impossible.. If you read the info you can make up your own mind how to do it
