Think this sums it up well enough.

Personally, I think they're both seriously ott (that touring rear is pretty ugly), but I can really appreciate your dedication, and ability to work on cars. Just wish you had the same taste as the majority on here, and used your undoubted ability to keep them as close to original as possible. These cars are design icons (probably why you chose them in the first place), why feck arond with them?

However, where are my manners - Welcome to the zone fella!

i think you will find that 90% of this forum is the same most of us use these cars as a daily driver so we need to fix them ourselves just to keep the costs down

Welcome to the zone, Kev. As has been used in completely the wrong context in an earlier post, this is a site for E30 enthusiasts, so you obviously have as much 'right' to be here as the OEM brigade.

I applaud the fact that you have a personal vision about how you want your cars to be. Makes a refreshing change

This site is a brilliant resource for all things E30, so please don't let any of the above bother you. Personally, however, I doubt it has done

Kev - search in the Photo Gallery for the thread by Steve, who founded the E30 zone (called 'It's time to come clean'). This may put a smile on your face

As most people have said, it's not really my cuppa tea but fair play on pushing the boundaries.

Anyway, welcome to the forum.

Sorry mate but what was you thinking of trying to smooth out the original number plate bit and then after doing a terrible job of that you stick the number plate under the rear bumper bit.
And come on why put gangsta you should of put Dave Courtney if you wanna be like him and play gangster
Plus you still have the problem of getting black exhaust marks on the rear valance cmon get with the times and work it out like we all did

sorry thanks guys and GALS , the gangsta badge was put on there for a laugh for a show we attended at the pod, i dont like any badges whatsoever, the number plate was put as far under the bumper as poss specifically to piss the old bill off as i was always getting pulled for it so they had to get on their hands and knees to see the number plate lights in the bumper, tbh i didnt like the smoothed panel on the back as it was my first attempt at any kind of smoothing but hey we all do things that we dont like afterwards.

Not to my taste, but i do like most tourings. Mine isnt a 316i with rusty arches and dull paintwork either.

Welcome to the zone Kev, I'm kind of a newbie but haven't bothered to introduce myself in the newbie section because that's not how I roll. You'll find this site a friendly place and valuable resource, people here are often happy to help you out if you've got a question. It may even influence you on the taste front too. If modifying is your bag, how about the Euro look?

As for your cars, all I can say is you've got bigger balls than me.

Go for it. The bottom line, irrespective of taste or individual preference, is that it's another E30 saved: another vote in the consensus that these are cars are something special and are worthy of saving. Like many others, though I would not choose to do this myself, I’d prefer to see this car driven than scrapped.
