Everyones favourate M52 touring is no more i am afraid. Lee ( E30BeemerLad) came up too see us northeners today and had a big spill on his way home. Complete nightmare. Finished up in macy d's drive through after hitting a lamp post at 30-40ish. The shell is a write off and he is luck to walk away with a cut hand. Pics to follow i am sure.
Glad your ok Lee and hope you can sort recovery. I will bell the garage tomorrow for you.

We all have lee's permision to post this up as he probs wont get on tonight. He is sorted for a lift home and is in one piece which is the most important thing.

After all that time and effort :(

Good to hear the car ,and possibly Lee,s pride, were the main victims though.

the car is now a red Banana
glad only your pride is hurt m8 it could have been a lot worse as he crossed a pavement sideways into some bushes and hit an old lampy and finished off in the drive threw lane of maccy d's the wrong way.

Bucket seats save him from proper injury I think maybe worse. Drivers footwell is about half the size roof is twisted and bucket seat is also twisted. Lee is fine shuck up but fine. Engine running gear etc is all fine. Alex has some pick's. It was craned onto the recovery truck as the driver just said it's fooked so what's the point in being careful. One of the lads ran him home.

I have put a post in the meets section on this subject and I believe Alex will be posting photos of the car post accident when he gets home soon. It is a shocking sight!

I have a spare E30 touring rolling shell that I have offered to Lee free of charge, also on a K plate and I hope after the shock subsides he will take up the option and do the build again.

well done to bigandy for giving lee a lift home,

it had to be that rear pass side tyre let go as Lee never even punched it out of the roundabout.
alex, dezzy and myself all were taken for a short blast in it beforehand and the tyre {60 profile}
on lowered springs was catching most of the time.

no cyclists were involved Fuyzzy

Car was impressive pre action, The tyres were a temp measure as lee is having wheel coated as we speak and he was buying some new correct size toyos from me. It was a proper nightmare situation and as magpie says he wasnt driving like a c0ck and had left on his own. It was only a month on the road yeh. Sickner

I second the tyre blowout theory. I was watching Lee pull away from the roundabout and as he straightened up I could see grey smoke coming the rear end of the car

Bloody hell sounds bad

It certainly was! When you see the pics from Alex you will find it hard to believe that he managed just a cut hand from flying glass and shock.

Lee was complaining of backache as we were leaving and I hope he will have that checked out asap, just in case

You are one lucky lad, Lee! That impact couldn't be in a worse place for the driver, and side protection isn't one of the areas that E30's excel in!
If anyone knows their way around what happens now, I suspect it's you, but you want to get that wreck back into your possession ASAP.
