Well i dont do it often but thought the back end needs fixing before i can respray the shell.

today i hacked the back off but didnt know bmw chose to braze most of the panel gaps up, its good in a way as you know its good build quality and not slap harry sealent.

anyway i got the panel fitting good in the slam panel corners as its brazed, had to carefully grind the remains out fits like a glove now.

still got to weld it in mind ha

Its all done now not brilliantly (paint work) although it was done in the bodyshop i just wanted it done so i can drive it and well its being resprayed in a few months anyway. Looks alot better than the good smack up the ass it did have.

Since spending 6 hours cleaning off the underseal and welding it with gasless wire it was awful so i finished it off at work with the big boy and tidied up the blow holes. Fillered the welds up undersealed, stonechipped and painted and not a rusty towing eye in site :)

Under the front valance the crossmembers battered and ripped so thats the next thing to do before paint then its a decent engine, seats and suspension setup

have a hankering for mtec bumpers now

Neat job 8)

Are you going to fit a bodykit or keeping the original bumpers?

in my experience gasless mig wire is about as good as a normal mig when the gas has run out. terrible stuff.
looks like you've made a decent job of it though :)

cheers for the postitive comments dudes, cant wait to get stuck in on the front end now haha.

On bumpers i'm probably keeping it easy & simple so a new front panel with a volvo spoiler. As it happens we had a volvo wentworth turbo in friday and that spoiler does look nice
