if you are going to spend 70 quid on ebay hids.. then DO NOT DO IT
and go for www.hids-direct.co.uk . top of the market imo.
ebay ones normally go for 40-50 notes.

These will do exactly what you want:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HID-Xenon-CONVERS ... 1|294%3A50
If you want to pay more, feel free - but I bet they look the same when you open the box

the only thing is...
i have actually had bad experiances with those ebay ones.
one of the ballasts didn't work, and the light quality was piss poor. couldn't even send it back because shipping charges back to china.
changed to HID-Directs one and the difference was amazing. Totally different quality of light output and had them for 2.5 years, not a single thing gone wrong.

Conversely, I bought an e-bay set when they were silly cheap (I think I paid about £33 inc. postage) from a seller in Canada, but shipped direct from ChinaSeymourCake wrote:the only thing is...

Yes i agree mate, it is pot luck. Majority of people seem to say nothong but good things about them though. But that one bad experiance has put me off completely, so not sure if i would personally risk it again.
Alzo I have had 8k before but i am really starting to sway towards 6k.. So can someone be kind enough to put spme pics up of their 6k hids?

its personal preference, but i have 4300k ones, and they are white light , without any tinge of blue, i'll get a pic up for you

Would do, but mine is away having it's annual 'face-lift' at the body shop so I'm without for most of this week. Loads on here swear by the 4300K lights because they are whiter and think that hints of blue = deep council-nessSeymourCake wrote: Alzo I have had 8k before but i am really starting to sway towards 6k.. I'm extremely happy with the brightness of the 6000K lights and rather like the faint tinge of blue. Maybe there's a tinge of council in me

Whats that famous saying again...you can take a zoner out the council but you can't take the council out the zoner lol.
I personally think 8k is quite tacky unless on new expensive german cars. 6k is just perfect. Where did you get your set from davie?
Also make sure you get pics up of the beast when it comes out!
I bought a set from ebay seller 'Vision Performance' as he had been recommended by Dips. Came with a lifetime warranty.
Ideally would have liked to go for 4300k but had to settle for 6000k.
No complaints though. Work really well and never had any problems.

I was quoted today here in Athens, 55 Euro for Chinese HID's & 110 Euro for Korean HID's, in both cases 6000K. When I asked what was the difference between the two sets, the reply was "one is Chinese the other is Korean"!!!!
Anyway, after having the headlight alignment checked by the mechanics at work & it was spot on, and I still can't see anything... I have decided to fit the Chinese set & hope for the best...
BTW, I had a Puma a couple of years back which used the same projector technology, couldn't see anything with that either!!

Fitted a set of ebay HID's to the touring a couple of weeks ago.The 4300 rated one's.
I was amazed at how much difference they make on the unlit country lanes I use for my commute to work, little or no difference in town use,my wife has not reported better vision!
I was so impressed that I have bought and fitted a second set to project cabbie, managed to get the box thingy's hidden under the light units as well,so with the covers on you cannot tell...
Here's a piccie...
