As my 316i is in need of a little TLC (bit of rust and a mop required) I thought I would vist a local body shop which was highly recommended.First of all the rust issues. Two small spots on both rear arches and a small section on the tail gate where the glass meets the body work. The rust bloke said the glass would have to come out at a cost of £100 and £100 to put it back!! My answer was couldnt you just remove the plastic trim piece from the bottom of the glass. His answer " suppose so"
The paint bloke could not have been less helpful if he tried!! took one look at the car and said it needs a full re spray at a cost of £1500!! No way is the car that bad!! Said the car was too old to mop!! I have seen hundreds of cars on the forum which are older than mine which have been moped and the results have been incredible. Just got the feeling the guy couldnt be bothered. What a s**t service
