My worst was the other day when trying to remove caliper bolts on the 30. First punched the spring platform on the shocker, 4 bleeding knuckles later i then some how managed to remove my thumb nail which has now gone septic and hurts like a bas**rd. Never mind hey, much worse could have happened

Yup, that was me. 318 touring on axle stands and trolley
jack, on a sloping hard standing.

Pulled whole car off stands and jack whilst trying to undo a stubborn diff bolt. Resulted in a 67 kilo idiot bench pressing
the best part of 1000kilos, while trying to attract the attention of my cloth eared Doris. Sure she was looking for the life insurance, having a nice cup of tea and several ciggies, before
she deigned to answer my ever increasingly desperate whimpers for assistance. :)

i had a similar occurance under a celica. the jack dropped and the car fell on my head, fortunately i always put the removed wheel under the car just in case. i was picking pebbles out my face for weeks after being pressed into the pavement. :D

I have done the fuel lines one but missed my eyes. Up the nose and in my mouth though. Also dropped a socket bar on my forehead while trying to bolt up the propshaft.

Not half as bad as some peoples on here but this is a very recent one, while fitting some front wings on the E30 a mate was helping me he went to give the arch liner a good whack to get it in place and hit two rusty screws with the palm of his hand going a good 10mm in 8O

Those damn sharp edges of the rear spring seats on the chassis side...
I had red lines on my forehead for about a week on four different occasions whilst working in the dark wheelarch/on fueltank etc.

Also cut my wrist nicely with an angled screwdriver trying to remove gearbox selector seal under the car. Not on purpose although I was pretty annoyed. It bled a lot, for a fateful few seconds I looked at it thinking 'hmm, this might be really really bad...' 8O

I've been lucky, but I did hear some good advice from a mate at the weekend: "Never put your hand anywhere that you wouldn't put your d1ck" if only his colleague had listened to that advice before putting his hand under an unsupported tipping bed on a Unimog...
