Few cosmetic rust spots, and dents, but nothing to worry about.

Looks nice! Is it a run around or have you got plans for it?

Is that the scrappy down by leonards road? Did you get it from there? :P

No plans atm. Need to find out all it,s little quirks and niggles and try to sort them out,
like the bright metal Wood screws that are currently holding the number plates on. :)
Yes Ollie, thats the scrappy down Ransome Rd, was looking for the rest of your Chromie in there. :flipbird:
Was down there yesterday, Dave 318 told me about two E30,s they had in there, one with a Zender front and rear spoiler on it, unfortunately, the front was laying next to the car when i found it, damaged beyond repair, and the rear valance was fubared. :(
Good job i,ve allready got a Zender kit. :D

No mate, both were complete dogs. All i managed to get was a door handle for my cabby :( .

Tbh Ollie the M40 is ok, bit strange when you plant your foot down, and nothing happens for 10 mins, but it,s fun in its own buzzy little way. I,m quite enamoured of it. :D

Pleased to see your getting on with "the chicken" Rob, my kids nicknamed the touring "the chicken". If you had said you were off to the scrappy I'd have sent you to Bloxham on the way back, everytime I've been there over the last year they always have more than 6 E30s getting pillaged.

Hi Mark,
have to say the journey home was much better than the one there. Up at 7 to catch the 8.30 bus to Oxford, only to find it had been put back till 9.30. Then it stopped at every bus stop between here and Oxford, and there are a few :x
Still, these things have to be done, and was pleasant driving
home with the sunroof open catching some rays. :)

Yep it drives well for an old 316 bit slow getting there but stays there when you get there if you know what I mean.

I'll have to get my M52 touring project moving again now i aint got a touring to run a round in anymore.

Cab is undergoing major surgery but is expected to survive :)

Cheers geez.

Sorting out a few rust spots on it atm, but i,m like a Cow with a Gun when it comes
to stuff like that. :( Luckily it,s all cosmetics and not structual.
The Heat shield stuff underneath the bonnet is absolutely mint, and it,s nice to drive over
speed humps without imitating a Land crab. :)

Not just in Scotland though, pretty popular down here too,
and i can see why, proper old battle wagons.
Practical, handle well and look pretty damn  as well.
Incidentally, i took the new rear quarter for my cab to the bodyshop in it yesterday, and one of the fella,s working on it
has fallen in love with tourings after seeing mine.
He,s a self confessed Vauhall/Opel nut, currently turning a v6Calibra into a cabriolet 8O , and he is now a touring fan.
He also happens to be a Scot. :)

Sounds good, I aint done anything to my touring since September, aint had the time due to work and doing martial arts all day every sunday in November, hopefully I 'll get the engine and box out before christmas and get her down the body shop to give her a good check out before the new lump goes in.
Dont forget to post some pics up as you move on with the bumper fitting.

Had a spare hour after Gym, and before work tonight,
so thought i,d fit the DIY smoked non smiley Hellas, and the Tech 1 Steering wheel i restored.

The Hellas are for my Cab eventually, but will need doing again as i,m not overly
happy with the X -hairs. Happy with the wheel though, wished i,d taken
a pic or two before i "restored "it, was only fit for the bin. :D
