Dont know why but old cars do nothing for me. If i was to be giving that i would chop the arches and flare them, slam on some coil-overs, do a nice turbo convertion and stick enough ICE to have my own disco in there andf then i might like it. Ho and do a nice Kandy paint too

Fear not my young friend. Look at my stars. I have been here as long as time so i'm on the right forum. I just cant imagine spending £60k on a car like that. Saying that i have spent more than that on my E30 so i guess i'm contradicting myself a bit thereclipper wrote:I fear you may be on the wrong forum thenbootyman wrote: Dont know why but old cars do nothing for me.

Okay for the hoist tonight matey?

That's worth every bean of 60 grand. They've been undervalued for far too long and that must be the best one left. Still half the price of a 1973 911 RS.
Let's face it - if you've got 60 grand to drop on a CSL, you probably already own a 993 Turbo. Peasants need not apply.

On the subject of PORSCHEs

Dont get me wrong, i think a nice CS coupe is a beautifull thing but for my 60 bags i want something thats gonna be quick AND beautifull hence the 993 turbo.B7 wrote:Behave you clown!! An old CSL aint gonna set the world on fire, an E36 M3 would waste a CSL.

Ah but Barry, one would look proper in an E9 where as one would look a bit
council and dare I say like a c0ck in an E36 !

On the other hand, you would look the thrusting exec in the 993.

Given the choice i'd have all the afore mentioned cars, unfortunately my bank balance is smaller than my nipples so i don't have a choice! lol.
I'll stick with my e30 touring for now, until i have more money... then i'll buy a turbo!

An Escort Twin Cam won't set the world on fire either. An RS1600 would get slaughtered by a Golf TDi, but what would you rather own?bss325i wrote:

An E9 CSL doesn't have anything to prove. It did it all 35 years ago.
Very true but its not enough "car" for the money in my eyes.Andyboy wrote:An Escort Twin Cam won't set the world on fire either. An RS1600 would get slaughtered by a Golf TDi, but what would you rather own?bss325i wrote:

I would love to have a nice CSL but not for 60 bags when you can get nice ones, all be it not as nice, for alot less.
