Cheers for the offer Neil, but i'm not keen on going back to stock brakes

I need to get the front brake disks replaced and as there a none standard fitment, it's time consuming getting them here and adapting them to fit,AND I can't see the point of getting disks that will only be fitted for a week or so.

The company I contracted to make up the bells and caliper brakets for the new 6 pot brake kit have sent me up the wrong size bolt packs for attaching the bells to the disk's, and it's a delay i could well be doing without.
When I opened the package tonight and trial fitted the parts, I found the bolts were 5mm too short.

It's nothing major, It just means I can't the work can't get done till the suppliers sort the mess out.

Hopefully I'll be back on schedule by the weekend.
It just means iI won't be attending this one or the one on the 24th.

ill try and pop down after work in my astravan on reps. id like a demonstration as to how to get it nice and shiny.
what times are you looking at for finishing up? i might do a half shift and finish about 2pm.
im from lothian and ive never heard of drem. wheres it beside?

whats a local landmarks are near your unit? are you beside anything easily spotted? fenton barns retail park?

We're about 800yrds before the retail park from the south.

Look for the PENTLAND PRECAST Sign on the Righthand side, opposite the Layby.

This is just after a very bad bend (high grip tarmac and Signs!)

I'll try to park an e30 at the entrance

im home....i made it eventually turning up after 4. nice run through the hills and good to see my diesel astravan wasnt the slowest of the day although i almost caught myself out on a few sharp bends a couple of times after forgetting i was in a van....
i also got away with a 3 pointer after going past the police on the phone, they were staring at me as i went past but they didnt persue me. thank god for that as i would have struggled to do a runner in my van.
good to see a couple of old faces and good to meet a couple more. unfortunately i wasnt as vocal as id normally be due to my throat infection...which is a good thing for you....
ill pop along on the 24th as well when it should be normal service resumed...

A great meet, better than turning up in a carpark and kicking a few tyres.
Good to meet a few new enthusiasts too. Top work on getting Ronan's clutch back up and running! Burgers were good too (thanks to Steph!).
And the mini-roam taster was an excellent idea, gave folk an idea of what to expect!

Wish I could make it to the next one at the end of the month.....
