Right, being an E30 i'm almost sure they are interchangable.

I have a facelift car with the early 325i motor and early cooling system.

If I have a facelift design cooling system, I take it its just a case of "plug'n'play" swap? Or are there any distinct differences I need to be aware about?

Cheers,
Nay.

Cheers. Jason, you seem to be the one helping out a lot! :thumb:

I know the "clear" differences between the two, so I know what set ups i have. But I knew the later rad was different, as was most of the set up.

The water-pump is new to me so I'll need a new water pump. Is the 320i waterpump the same as a 325i? If so I have a relatively new on the 320i where I'll be getting most of my facelift cooling from (bar the rad) and using that as my basis.

I was more woried about diffent hose fittings (number of hoses to), and generally parts that might only apply to one but not the other.

the early late have different outlets, but you can use any pump on any m20 as long as you have the rest of the bits to go with it.

I much prefer the face lift rad, so i put the face lift cooling onto my 320 e21 a few years when the orginal rad went.

So I can use the old pump as well? As that is basically new.

I discovered this when I built the 2.7...
I have a perfectly good 525e waterpump on the bits shelf!
I used the original 320 waterpump in the end,as said,it's all of one system or all of the other, much like the engine management.
