i have got some but it was that long ago i took them on 35mm film!! got to scan them first but i aint got a scanner!!
the car i snow in bournmouth. i did too much to it and in the end i broke it to get money back!! one guy too shell and some one else the running gear. it was all in cecotto shell, convirted to RHD, 3.0 s50 enginr 5 speed box, and a mental spec really. got it up and running used it fot 2 months then got rid, too many of these convirsions are popping up now so thats why i tooks dips M335i turbo, it faily uniqe as its a turbo and an M3 and got loads of potential, i helped build it so its not some one elses work and i can put my name on it together with the other involved.

Ah, 35mm film. I remember the days when.......Kos wrote:i have got some but it was that long ago i took them on 35mm film!!
Would be good to see the pics if you can get them scaned. Must of been one of the first?? Sound like a nice spec as well.
I think he meant, 50bhp if you run TBs with other mods he mentioned.E327UKL wrote:u not gona get a head and cam to give you 50 bhp!!!

i enquired about webers on my 2.5 as it is reletively inexpensive but all the racers who was running carbs that bexleys put me in touch with all said about 10-15 bhp, possibly 20bhp with tbs

spot on mate
50 with all mods and tb'b
mind you BBR about 10 years ago had a a head and cam conversion which was supposed to give you 246bhp, head cam, chip, manifold and system and a bigger single tb. i would question it, they have one hell of a reputation of builing some quick cars!!
m3 with s50 was ok, i bit tatty to look at but the guy who took the shell of me has gone for a 3.2 with 6sp box and more trick bits and full restoration, its awsome now !!

Behold:

Just need the bracket for the throttle pot, and fuel rail and they're done!
(also need to drill for the injectors and also fettle the other TBs to fit)

So you still have a fair bit to do then
Looking good mate, are these the ones you were turning butterflies for?
And how are you going to get the injectors at the right angle?

They are indeed the ones I was making the butterflies for. The real laborious bit turned out to be making the spindles for them though, seemed to take forever to machine a slot in each one!
Planning to cant the bed of the pillar drill over at 40degrees and then drill the injector holes from there. Tis a bit nail biting as after all this work, I really don't wanna booger it up!

So at 40 deg do you recon you can get the squirt from the injector to hit the back of the valve head? Like the original manifold? Or is that not really that important?

Sorry, meant to put 45degrees.
Either way, that should see the injectors in pretty much their original position so with any luck, the emissions and low speed drivability should be pretty good

I haven't got a clue what angle they are at mate
I was just wondering what the hitting the valve heads had - and as you say emissions and tractability, as long as the fuel goes in I shouldn't worry! You are turboing it afterwards, right?

Nice!
The injector tubes look like they stick a long way in to the bores, good angle though,....I think
Like I would know
Good job mate, makes me want to get on and build my engine now!

I chose the bike tb's b/c they were so cheap. 38mm is more than adequate for an n/a m20. I think youll start loosing torque with anything much larger with minimal top end gains.
Heres a quick video before finishing my exhuast.....dont mind me missing 2nd gear in the first run....the shift knob fell off
(edit, forgot the link) http://www.hassturbo.com/video/BMW/E30.mpg
Hope ya like, cheers!
Oh, the TB's and Megasquirt to control fuel and ignition cost a whopping $550
