Pulled in at my local Shell garage the other day to treat the M3 to some V Power fuel !
On paying the young guy says "Thats an E30 isn't it ?"
Impressed by his knowledge i simply replied "yes it is"
He then went on to spoil it all by saying "Shame its LHD though"

On a slightly different left hand drive note, a few years ago a mate of mine bought a Lancia Delta Integrale.

The first time he filled up with fuel he walked out of the shop, by habit got in the right hand side.
Then, in front of many on-lookers, got out walked round to the other side and drove off! :o: :o: :o: :D

That must be easily done. I reckon I would do that. I would have pretended I was looking in the glove box for something. :o:

I am afraid it's the LHD bit that put's me off wanting an M3.
I expect that I would get used to it in time, afterall,I have driven plenty of miles in Europe on holiday in RHD cars, but my wife would be unable to come to terms with it.
Just towing her home when we collected the LHD touring convinced me,she was trying to position the thing,on the end of a rope, with the driver's side close to the white line....
And when we exited the M180 to turn right onto the A15,I automaticaly towed her up the r/h lane, checked the mirror, and she was half on the r/h verge, dangerously close to the sodding armco...

Thats bad for a dealership , had a similar thing in a bodyshop the fella grabed hold of the underside of the rear arch and announced "I thought they would of been fibreglass" 8O

my gf is used to lhd cars, she regularly waits on the drivers side of my iS ...waiting for me to unlock the doors. The thing is she keeps doing it

I couldn't live with lhd in the uk, the M3 is a mighty road car, the finest, but I couldn't face the inconvenience.

The one good thing is when you take your friend out and he's sh1tting due to lack of steering wheel & brake pedal

Same here, respect to the M3 but PITA going though tolls and getting into car parks, taking tickets out of the machine etc.

Had enough problems getting though tolls in France to know what the reverse would be in the UK.

Yep only expressing dislike of LHD cars, nothing wrong with that in a country that drives on the left.

That's normal LHD behaviour.

I lost count of the amount of times I did this in my M3!
