Hello,

Only the front speakers work in my car and they are rubbish, so I was wondering what size the front and rear speakers are (before taking them apart, as they do work, which is OK til I get replacements!)...

Also what do people recommend?

My last car had a kick ass sound system, but I don't really want to go down that route again of a heavy sub etx, so am going to power the speakers with my 4x650w amp, so it'll sound good!

Would be nice if I could keep the standard grills too...

Thanks

Front and rear speakers are 5.25" IIRC :)

I've got VibeSEK50 in the rear and Kicker's upfront, sound good

5.25", and there is holes already for them in the bodywork! Any bigger and it means taking an angle grinder to your car!

Although be careful as I brought some with tweeters in the middle and they wouldn't fit behind the front foot well speaker panels, but they fit under the parcel shelf speaker covers!

I fitted 5.25" JVC speakers front and rear and managed to fit them behind the factory grills and kick panels. I bought some original E30 tweeters, remove the old tweeters from the "sail" piece and fitted the JVC tweeters in their place. It took some fiddling (to separate the new tweeter from it's plastic pod) but works a treat.
