Wierd one i know, but next month i want some original bmw dealer plates made up but dont know what they really look like and a lot seem to differ, ere 1991 would be best but will look at anything.

Photoshop your numberplate off if you want, all i'am botherd about is what the logo etc says at the bottom, and if it has a border etc

If anyone has any BMW Williams Motor co. ones i need to see them :D

also more pissed than that smelly tramp in town you saw yesterday!

Character size changed around 2000 to smaller letters which don't look as good on these chariots.

Alex, is it not time to get 24v power?
Bollocks to this 24v scrap!

I used them. I took the cleanest of my two plates off (the rear one) and scanned it in. The guy then cleaned it up a bit (a lot of dealer plates have surprisingly wobbly letters) and then made the set up. I think he could probably do the same just from a photo. Perfect for the timewarp look :D

I swapped the plates for some "honeycomb" ones that were supposed to be reflective - when I was young and stupid.

My pic's a bit poor, original from 1988. Thin border around and Central, then BMW logo, Birmingham plus the number.
Image
Thanks for adding that link Alex - the front number plate is newer and since both are a bit rough, I was hoping to get 'original' plates to replace them.

Chandlers had a stealth logo in 1990 - it's so small I had to get really close just to see it...

I assume it's original as the rear is the same, and is quite obviously pretty old.

Just googled the British Standard number and found it was introduced in 1998, so looks like my plates aren't original after all.

Classic insect splat on my first picture though!
