323's?
Moderator: martauto
They are about, not as many as there used to be as many rusted, crashed or got broken. After the 325i came out the 323i fell out of favour, the e21 is sought after as a 323i as it's the top model.
A red 323i chromie was on sale here a few weeks ago took a while to sell even though it was cheap and a really good car.

Your safe now Dan. I think they have stopped using 323s for cans, people kept complaining of the smell of damp carpets and rust particles in the stella !
I guess the production number of the 323i was very low due to BMW making the 325i fairly early on as an replacement.
I remember during one Portsmouth meet I think Si13 was telling a few of us some of the stories about the press launch 323i's. They were not a very popular car with the press for the time.

Got a mint one sitting in the garage.
No rust, no leaks, no wet carpet
No 150 bhp, no 140 bhp - as it is all original probably not even 130 bhp now
There are lots or 323s in Australia as the tax, import duties and exchange rates made the later E30s too expensive. Plenty were imported between '83-'86.
Check eBay Australia some time and you'll see what I mean. Sadly, lots of low spec povo 4 pots too
