Main fuel tank vent hose. Other end connects to the steel pipe just below the petrol filler cap.

The touring don`t want to start, this morning.
Can anyone tell me, if a leak in this hose, can let pass the air in to the fuel circuit?
Is because of this leak, that i can`t put the engine running?
Yesterday the touring lost some power too....

The hose in question shouldn't have any effect on the car - it's just the same as running with the fuel filler cap off.
There are many and varied possible reasons why your car won't start, so we'll have to narrow things down a bit!
Does the fuel pump run when you crank the engine? If it's exposed as in your pic., you should easily be able to hear it.

The fuel pump, works fine.
I don`t know what happens, i have to take a look again, and see what i find out.

In that case, the next thing to do is to remove a spark plug (or use a spare), put the plug lead back onto it, lay the plug on its side on the rocker cover, crank the engine over, and check for a nice strong blue spark, once every two turns of the crank.

I think that is not an electrical problem, because there is a fuel leak somewhere. The fuel pump compartment has many fuel, and there are two little fuel marks on the floor, below the Touring. And this vent hose is full of fuel too.
I have to take a new look at it, this afternoon.
I`ll let you know.

problem solved, thank God.
It is the gasket between the fuel pump, and the fuel tank.
I need to replace it.

Failure of the O ring gasket between the pump and tank is a quite common source of a fuel leak on E30s, but unfortunately this will have no effect whatsoever on the running of the engine!

Hi,

tomorrow i will leave the Touring in a garage, to change the o-ring gasket.
I don`t know nothing about the power loss, but the idle is unstable, and when i let my foot in the trottle in 2nd gear, 3rd gear, at low revs, the engine goes bouncing.
It seems like the engine`s stuck.

Carefully check the large rubber hose between the air meter/filter and throttle body for cracks and splits.
