thats pure madness lol.

2 grand would have got you a shitty four banger in there with a couple of small tweaks you would have 300dB easily.
Fixed! :)

As you can see from my build, I would not just throw the standard engine in, it would have bits done to ensure reliability and all the necessary chassis mods would be done properly including beefing up the diff mounting arrangement..... 2K for all that... doubtful :?

No way would £2000 get you a fully fitted cosworth engine, put at least another 2k on that, even DIY.

I think that it is a great result you got. Very impressive on a log manifold. A 6 branch and a possible AFM delete might see you gain some more, but you are looking at the wrong end of another £1.5k after it is all setup properly, and maybe only gain 10-15hp.

Miles, be careful on the 303!

Im going to go with him being one of these "my mate dave says his cousins, friends sheep did it so it's gotta be right innit" types

I'm already planning more for the future, having a good chat with Ant always makes my credit card nervous, so far I'm backing away from the BTB idea and leaning more towards MS on 'blended Alpha-N' so no AFM at all and it should add a nice slug of torque just about everywhere.

I see it as a nice quick car but its no balls out racer, the massive torque is very nice to use and i don't want it all buggering off to the upper reaches of the rev range :D

Everyone can tell you how you shod have done it afterwards mate. Power = spending money. What can you do there is loads of ways to do it but once you start down a road money is very easy spent. I am in the same situation but with an M50 motor. Nice motor mate any which way you look at it.

Nice results stonesie! Bet that goes well! Why aren't you interested in the BTB3 manifold now?

Why didn't the RR place not give you flywheel figures? The dyno SHOULD measure the deceleration drag/power consumption when slowing down on the overun and with those measured figures calculate flywheel power.

Can anyone suggest how to test if the boot lights are staying on with the boot shut?

Financial issues and general bollock dropping by some chimp at Lloyds mean i probably wont have the deposit for a couple of months now.

I dont know why the RR dosen't do flywheel figures. I can always take it back over to where it won its wooden spoon award to see what theyre dyno makes of it.
