456lbft wrote:Ok, full systems. BTB do a single pipe 63.5mm system for the E30 325i which is designed (with a 2 into 1 downpipe) to go with our manifold. If 5 people decide to order a system with their manifold order the price will be £735 including VAT (but not carriage) for a twin box trackday friendly version, or £660.25 including VAT (but not carriage) for a single box version (for the more extrovert street racers out there who spend their time in 3 gear in tunnels!). The system has twin 76mm tailpipes to suit either MTech or Sport bumper skirts, which you will need to specify at time of order. You will also need to confirm when you order your manifold whether you want the downpipe to suit an OE style twin system or BTB single system so we can supply the correct version. I'll try and get some pictures up to help explain, or you can find them at www.racecar.co.uk/bmwexhausts.
Regards
Joe
456lbft wrote:As their has been a little confusion, I would just like to clarify that the price is £550 (including VAT at the 15% rate) for the manifold and downpipe PLUS £735 (including VAT at the 15% rate) for a twin box single pipe BTB system. The £735 is NOT the price for manifold and system. Also for anyone interested in us fitting their manifold and/or system, we will charge £150 + VAT for fitting a manifold and system to your car assuming that all the manifold studs and steering column coupling come undone easily. If anyone wishes to revise their orders or still aren't clear what they have agreed to, give us a ring as soon as possible. 01327 261797. Thanks, Joe (BTB).
I've had to back out of a full system, due to my confused optimism, and subsequent unavailablity of funds. Sorry again Joe, your first message read to me like £735 inc VAT for a full system.

We still can't get you by phone, which seems to go to voice mail, and email bounces back, so perhaps you could ring us please.

No, this is for a RHD 320i/325i, but should fit.

Best bet might be to call Joe@BTB and speak to him about what he can offer you.

The thing is, this if specific for us RHDers due to the the lack of space around the manifold and using an uprated steering rack.

He does a normal "BTB2" manifold for a 320/325 which also should be fine as LHD cars steering column is on the other side of the engine, but I'm not sure on other parts so try find out first!

Hope that made sense. :D

Does that mean we've had more drop out as I was nearly the bottom of the list and I was originally told late October/November?

How I ended up being a "first 5" is beyond me. I hope alot of people haven't let BTB down.

Anyway I never thought this day would happen but its only bloody here right now, big box, so deceptivly big I didn't at first realise what it was but well packaged inside none the less.

One small notch of metal protruding from one of the pipe entries though and a few rough spots that I'm going to have to get a dremel on before I fit it, but all in all its a quality piece of kit and quite a bit cheaper than a RD manifold that will now be wrapped in cotton wool and stored until such a time its worth alot more!

Why, are you on commision??

Overall I really don't like the idea of anything being hidden away to increase it's value, toy's are for playing with and you can't take it with you!

Is yours a stainless manifold?? looks different to dano's .

Nope but if they had been let down then they won't be doing any more group buys for other zoners will they? I won't put up with being messed around in my professional life and I don't like it when others are either. I believe if you enter into a contract of sale as buyer or seller you stick to it.

I'll hide my toys where I like for how long I like thanks, they always come out to play on another one of my projects later anyway. And no one and I mean no one is ever having that manifold off me unless they pay proper money, the kind of money the zone isn't flush with. Most of the parts I have aquired were never for sale in the first place, I know of their exsistence through hard work and research and made the right offer at the right time wether they were for sale or not. Everything has a price.

Mine isn't stainless its just brand new.

Wasn't trying to offend you Gareth.

Do you know what the results would be, ie interfernce and compression ratio when putting an m52 b28 crank with m20 b20 130mm rods into an earlier high compression engine, already at 9.5:1 standard.

Don't forget btb took non-refundable deposits, so if someone pulls out, they've got £110 for nothing, or £110 covering the materials ordered (and it's not exactly going to rust), or £110 and a manifold in stock they can sell for top whack £750 + £110. Frustrating but not exactly the end of the world IMO.

Anyways, I've got the before btb3 dyno day tomorrow, so that should be interesting.

Wasn't offended just offering my reasoning. When I start selling parts I startneeding them a couple of days later for a new project.

I'd have to work your CR out and tbh don't have time now but I'll have a crack atit for youlater today but withought measuring up its simply an educated guess.

Nobody has let us down yet as far as I know, except for the aforementioned confusion over the system pricing which is understandable. We are about half way through the batch, and have had some interest about making some more. I expect to have delivered to everyone on the original list by the end of this month, except if they are booked in for fitting or collection.

p.s. Whats the bolt is the "X" pipe for? (potential n00b question :))
